Hape - MET Hokusai Great Wave Blocks

Early development toys for young art lovers.

Introduce your little one to creativity, culture, and hands-on learning with this artful building block set, inspired by Under the Wave off Kanagawa (ca. 1830–32 )—also known as The Great Wave—part of the celebrated series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.

Our collaboration with Hape brings iconic works of art to life through beautifully crafted, developmentally rich toys designed for infants, toddlers, and young children. Drawing inspiration from The Met's world-renowned holdings, the collection transforms celebrated masterpieces into engaging play experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and early learning.
